FLAT TRACK SERIES 2010
SEPTEMBER / OCTOBER / NOVEMBER
THE FLAT TRACK SERIES IS A GOOD BEGINNERS WAY OF GETTING INTO RACING. THEY ARE GENERALLY FLAT PADDOCKS AND WITH CLASSES TO SUIT EVERY RIDING ABILITY
WHAT DOES IT COST ?
- The Wanganui Motorcycle club is affiliated to MOTORCYCLING NZ (MNZ) and runs under MNZ rules, as such , you need a licence from them OR you can buy a Day Licence for $20 on the day.
You also need to belong to a club - our club membership form can be found on this web site under the 'Membership' tab- this varies from 'FREE' for 1st year Mini riders (4-11yrs) up to $50 for the whole family to join.
Lastly you enter the class(es) you want to race on the day, this varies depending on your age group (Mini / Junior or Senior) See below....................

- CLASSES: SENIOR/JUNIOR
Senior Classes: A Grade Overs, - A Grade Unders, - B Grade, - Novice - Veterans 30-39yrs/40+yrs - Womens - ATV.
Junior Classes:(8-16yrs) 85cc/150cc - 125cc/250cc
MINI's (4-11yrs) -Separate Track
Mini Classes: Trail (Crf70/80/Jr80 etc) - 50cc (Crf50/XR50/Jr50 etc) - 65cc (MX bikes).
Prices- Members - minis $15 - Junior $20
- Senior $25
Non Members- minis $20 - Junior $25

X-Country - Saturday 5th February 2011
Motocross - Sunday 6th February 2011

X-Country – (Brunswick), Approx 14km North West of Wanganui.
DIRECTIONS – From Wanganui – Head North-West on SH3 towards New Plymouth – 1km from city boundry turn right into Blueskin Road. Follow arrows approx 12km’s. Sign posted from SH3.
Motocross – Same Venue as X-Country, but with different entry point into paddock – follow arrows.

X-Country – Saturday - ATV’s Sign-in 9am - 10am, look lap 10.15am, Race 1 hr. - 2 Wheelers Sign-in 9am - 11.30am, look lap 12noon, Race 2hrs.
Motocross – Sunday – All Sign-in 8.30am - 9.30am

Events will run under the rules of Motorcycling NZ. For insurance purposes, all competitors must hold a current MNZ license or a Day Licence ($20) and club membership ($15) will be available to purchase at the event (for competitors who are not members or an affiliated Motorcycle Club).
X-Country Track is the same great track we have used for the last 2 Masters Games events. Approx 22km’s loop. ½ Pine forest, ½ Open moderately hilly farmland. Dead engine, hands on head start.
Motocross track is a new one at the same venue as the X-Country. Natural terrain paddock with man-made jumps. Bungy starts.
Prize giving will be held at the conclusion of both days at the Brunswick Hall, approx 500m from venue. Food and Refreshments will be available at end of day at the hall.
Camping on site OK.

The Wanganui Motorcycle Club has been active in the Wanganui region for more than 50 years.
The club and its Greg Coleman Memorial Pavillion (clubrooms) are situated at the Wanganui Motorsport Domain on Landguard Road.
The club is famous for running the spectacular Cemetery Circuit Boxing day road race anually around the streets of Wanganui.
We also run a number of other events including moto-x, miniture tt, enduros, hare scrambles, trail rides and hopfully more super-x in the future.
The club caters for riders from mini through to the veteran ranks.
